Menthol decline on sluggish demand

Menthol prices fell by Rs 10 per kg today largely on the back of sluggish demand from consuming units.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh kept pressure on the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,390, Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,290 per kg, respectively.

Market analysts said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets put pressure on the menthol prices.
