Menthol declines on reduced offtake

Menthol prices drifted by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to a reduced offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.

Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets also weighed on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to settle at Rs 1,410, Rs 1,360 and Rs 1,265 per kg respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units and weak trend in producing belts also put some pressure on menthol prices.
