Menthol down on lack of demand

Menthol prices marginally fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from consuming units at higher prices amid adequate stocks, following increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,320, Rs 1,290 and Rs 1,190 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units at higher prices against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly put pressure on the menthol prices.
