Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.

Adequate stocks position and increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 900, Rs 870 and Rs 800 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from the producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets led to a decline in menthol prices.

Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the prices, they said.
