Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.

Weakening trend in futures market and increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 to Rs 925, Rs 895 and Rs 845 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units and weak trend at futures market also put pressure on menthol prices.
