Menthol prices fell up to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.
Adequate stocks following increased arrivals from the producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell up to Rs 10 at Rs 920, Rs 890 and Rs 845 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets mainly led to a decline in menthol prices.
Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the prices, they said.
