Menthol remains higher on tight stocks

Menthol prices rose upto Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today on buying support from the consuming industries amid tight stocks.

Fall in supplies from producing belts and firming trend in futures market also supported the prices. Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose upto Rs 10 to Rs 880, Rs 850 and Rs 800 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said fresh buying support from pharma and other consuming industries against tight stocks, led to a rise in prices.

Elsewhere, prices of other chemicals ruled steady on scattered deals.
