Menthol rises on fresh buying

Menthol prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on fresh buying by consuming industries amid tight stocks. Fall in supplies from producing belts and firming trend in futures market also supported the prices.

Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose by Rs 5 to Rs 985, Rs 965 and Rs 910 per kg, respectively. 

Marketmen said fresh buying by pharma and other consuming industries, mainly attributed to the rise in the prices.
