Menthol prices fell up to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.
Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on the prices. Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell upto Rs 10 to Rs 1,050, Rs 1,015 and Rs 965 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen attributed fall in menthol prices to reduced offtake by consuming units, as prices have risen sharply in the past few days due to mismatch demand-supply position.
