Menthol prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today, due to reduced offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.
Fresh arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on the prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,300, Rs 1,260 and Rs 1,200 per kg, respectively.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by consuming units, against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets mainly kept pressure on the menthol prices.
