Mixed trend prevails in base metals

Base metals ruled mixed in fairly active trade at the non-ferrous metal market here today. 

Tin, copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and copper scrap heavy moved up on better industrial demand.

While nickel and copper utensils declined in the absence of demand from industrial users. Tin rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,015 from overnight's closing level of Rs 1,010.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 376, Rs 365 and Rs 404, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy also inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 370, as against Rs 369. However, nickel fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,065 from Rs 1,070 previously.

Copper utensils scrap ended slightly lower by a rupee per kilo to Rs 342.
