Refined palmolein prices moved up moderately at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to sustained buying support from retailers amid, higher Malaysian advices.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil slipped owing to reduced demand from retailers coupled with good arrivals from producing belts.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial dropped further on lack of enquiries from shippers and soap manufacturers. Castorseeds futures also eased on poor offtake.
Linseed oil continued to rule steady in the absence of market moving factors.
In the edible section, refined palmolein rose by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 589 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 585, while groundnut oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 750 from Rs 755 previously.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseed bold dipped by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 5,300 from Friday's closing level of Rs 5,350 and castor oil commercial fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,090 as against Rs 1,100 yesterday.

Moving to futures section, castorseeds for March delivery resumed higher at Rs 4,820 and moved in a range of Rs 4,840 and Rs 4,779 before settling at Rs 4,799 from Rs 4,802, showing marginal loss of Rs 3 per tonne.
