Monday blues hits market

Non-ferrous metals recovered following the trend on London Metal Exchange (LME) but dipped on Monday.
 
Nickel cathodes closed at Rs 570 per kg on Monday, down Rs 35 from last Monday's Rs 605 after trading at at Rs 580 for most of the week.
 
Copper wire bars closed lower by Rs 2 from last week to hit Rs 175. Copper heavy scraps closed at Rs 145 from Rs 148. It peaked at Rs 153 on Tuesday. Copper utensil scraps closed at Rs 125 from Rs 128, ruling at Rs 130 between Tuesday and Saturday.
 
Brass utensil scraps was at Rs 100 from last week's Rs 104. Brass sheet cutting was unchanged at Rs 105. Aluminium utensil scraps was at Rs 77 from Rs 78 last week. Lead ingots eased to Rs 47.50, from Rs 49 last week. Aluminium ingots rose Rs 1 to Rs 93. Zinc slabs were at Rs 71.50 and tin slabs at Rs 461, up from last week.
