Prices of thoor dal and urad dal declined, moong dal and sugar moved up and other commodities remained unchanged in the wholesale food market here during the week ended today.
Thoor dal opened at Rs 5,700 over last Saturday's rate of Rs 6,000, recovered to Rs 6,000 on Thursday and later declined to settle at Rs 5,800 losing Rs 200 per quintal.
On Monday moong dal declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,000 and regained by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,050 on Wednesday. It further went up by Rs 150 per quintal on Thursday and moved up by Rs.200 per quintal to Rs,6,500 gaining Rs 400 per quintal during the week.
Sugar improved by Rs 20 per quintal on Monday to Rs 2,970 and ended the week at Rs 3,000 over last week's rate of Rs 2,950.
Urad dal moved down by Rs 200 today over its previous week's rate of Rs 6,500.
Gram dal at Rs 2,950, wheat at Rs.1,950, maida (90 kgs) Rs.1,750 and sooji at Rs.1,900 remained unchanged during the week.
