Moong dal prices increase with rising demand

Moong prices today rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market owing to pick up in demand and limited arrivals.

Marketmen said pick up in retailers' demand against restricted arrivals have led to rise in wholesale moong and its dal prices. Moong Maharashtra and its dal chilka local remained in demand and added another Rs 50 each to Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 7,750-8,150 per quintal, respectively.

Moong dal dhoya local and best quality also traded higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,750-7,950 and Rs 8,250-8450 per quintal.

However, kabli gram lacked necessary buying support and declined. Kabli gram small decreased by Rs 100 to Rs 3,000-4,200 per quintal on increased supplies.
