Moong, its dal strengthen on sustained buying

In an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market, moong and its dal prices strengthened further on sustained buying by stockists. 

Traders said sustained buying by stockists on the back of rising demand from retailers mainly helped moong and its dal prices to strengthen.

Moong and its dal chilka local gained Rs 50 each to Rs 4,250-4,650 and Rs 5,300-5,700, respectively, while moong dal dhoya best quality added Rs 100 to Rs 6,200-6,400 per quintal.

Urad 4,100-4,650, Urad chilka (local) 5,050-5,450, best 5,600-5,900, Dhoya 5,550-5,650, Moong 4,250-4,650, Dal moong chilka local 5,300-5,700, Moong Dhoya local 5,600-5,800 and best quality 6,200-6,400

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,450-3,700, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,250-4,550, Malka local 3,900-3,950, best 4,050-4,150, Moth 2,800-3,100, Arhar 3,850-3,950, dal arhar dara 5,200-5,600
