Moong and its dal prices traded higher by up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on pick-up in retailers demand against tight supply.

Elsewhere, other commodities continued to trade in a narrow range on restricted buying, and settled around previous levels.

Market analysts said pick-up in retailers demand against tight supply mainly led to the rise in moong and its dal prices.

In the national capital, moong added Rs 50 and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3,980-4,980 and Rs 5,000-5,400, respectively. Moong dal dhoya local and best quality also traded higher Rs 100 each to Rs 5,300-5,500 and Rs 5,900-6,100 per quintal, respectively.
