Moong rises on local buying

Moong prices recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on fresh buying by stockists followed by pick up in demand at existing levels. 

However, urad lacked necessary buying support and declined. Traders said fresh buying by local traders in view of pick up in demand mainly led to a rise in moong prices.

Moong and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,800 and Rs 6,100-6,500 per quintal.

On the other hand, urad, urad chilka (local) and urad dal best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,350-5,900 and Rs 6,200-6,600 and Rs 7,100-7,400 per quintal.
