Moth, arhar weaken on sluggish demand

Prices of pulses fell on the wholesale market to Rs 200 per quintal today owing to a slackness in demand at the prevailing higher levels amid increased supply.

Traders said fall in demand at existing higher levels against increased supplies mainly pulled down the wholesale pulse prices.

In the national capital, moth dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 3,500-3,800, while arhar and its dal dara variety traded lower by the Rs 100 each to Rs 3,200-3,300 and Rs 4,300-4,700 per quintal.
