Mustardseed prices declined by Rs 1.40, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 522.50 per 20 kg, in futures trade today on the back of profit-selling by traders on existing higher levels.
Traders said, profit-booking was seen at prevailing higher levels, driven by increased supply and reduced offtake in physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed price for July contract lost Rs 1.40, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 522.50 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 98,980 lots.
The August contract also slipped by Rs 1.50, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 528.50 per 20 kg, showing an open interest of 79,720 lots.
