| I didn't have any grandiose expectations from the Budget this year. In fact, I was fearing that the film and entertainment industry might attract additional service taxes. Thankfully, that didn't happen and I'm sure there are a lot of people in the industry who will be very happy to hear this. |

| The Budget, unfortunately, didn't have too many highlights or salient features. It was, strictly speaking, a very average Budget. But there are some highlights, for those of us in the industry, which deserve a mention. |
| Such as? |
| Well, like I said before, I had no expectations at all. Every year the Budget disappoints our sector and this year has been no different. However, even as rental of commercial space attracts service tax, this Budget has concentrated on entertainment space and exempted this sector from the tax. So entertainment spaces like multiplexes will hope to benefit immensely. |
