Shares of the state-owned National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) has rallied 5% to Rs 843 on BSE in early morning trade after the company said it has bagged a Rs 1,237-crore order in Odisha under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The company has been entrusted PMGSY works valued at Rs 1,236.88 crore in certain IAP (Integrated Action Plan) districts of Odisha and a tripartite agreement in this regard would be signed on January 12 between NBCC, Union Rural Development Ministry, Department of Rural Development, Odisha government, NBCC said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 827 and touched a high of Rs 848 on BSE. A combined around 89,000 shares changed hands till 0917 hours on BSE and NSE.
