The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange has reduced rental charges of warehouses for different agri commodities from three per cent to 16.7 per cent. These charges will be applicable from November 1.

NCDEX has introduced a procedure to check the quality of fresh deposits. This procedure is implemented during fresh deposits at the exchange-registered warehouses, to ensure that they meet contract specifications.

Samir Shah, MD and CEO, NCDEX said "Driving next generation warehousing reforms, aimed at developing a robust and transparent ecosystem is our biggest priority. Our aim is to make storage of commodities in NCDEX -approved warehouses a safer experience for traders and farmers and reduced rentals will help them derive better realisation for their produce".
