Nickel futures prices fell 0.40 per cent to Rs 1,075.40 per kg today on profit booking by speculators.
Market analysts said apart form profit taking, firming trend in dollar, which reduced appeal for other commodities, also weighed on the nickel futures here.
In addition, slack demand in spot markets, also put pressure on the metal futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, nickel for November delivery fell by Rs 4.20, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 1,075.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 105 lots.
Similarly, nickel for delivery in October also shed Rs 3.50, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 1,065.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,175 lots.
