Nickel prices fell by 0.43% to Rs 1,187.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing their positions amid a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in April fell by Rs 5.10, or 0.43%, to Rs 1,187.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 5,292 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May lost Rs 5, or 0.42%, to Rs 1,196.10 per kg, with an open interest of 411 lots.
Analysts said a weak trend at the spot market mainly weighed on the nickel futures prices here.
