Amid profit booking by speculators, nickel futures prices fell by 0.43 per cent, to Rs 1,068.80 per kg today.

However, firming trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME), limited gains.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, nickel for November delivery fell by Rs 4.60, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 1,068.80 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in October, declined by Rs 3.70, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 1,058.70 per kg, clocking in a business turnover of just one lot.

Marketmen said profit booking by speculators, mainly put pressure on nickel futures here, but gains at the LME, restricted losses.

Meanwhile, nickel was up 0.2 per cent to $23,999 a metric tonne on the LME.
