Non-basmati rice declines on sluggish demand

In restricted activity, non-basmati prices declined by Rs 25 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today owing to slackness in demand.  

Elsewhere, other grains moved in a tight range in restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels. 

In the national capital, permal raw, wand, sela and IR-8 were traded lower by Rs 25 each to Rs 1,800-1,850, Rs 1,975-2,075, 2,075-2,125 and Rs 1,675-1,700 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,600-1,750, wheat dara (for mills) 1,180-1,185 chakki atta (delivery) 1,185-1,190, atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 175, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 175, Roller flour mill 640-660 (50 kg), Maida 670-700 (50 kg) and Sooji 740-760 (50 kg)

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,200-5,300, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,000-5,000, Permal raw 1,800-1,850, Permal wand 1,975-2,075, Sela 2,075-2,125 and Rice IR-8 1,675-1,700

Bajra 1010-1020, Jowar yellow 1,000-1,070, white 1,800-1,875, Maize 1,200-1,210, Barley 1,250-1275 and Rajasthan 1,080-1,090
