NTPC has moved higher by 3% at Rs 142 in late noon deals on NSE, on reports that the state-owned electric utilities company has agreed to sign fuel-supply agreements with Coal India.
“The country's largest power producer has said that the company's Board has approved signing of Fuel Supply Agreements (FSAs) with Coal India for 9,370 MW capacity plants and the sampling will take place at the loading point,” the PTI report suggests.
The stock opened at Rs 139 and has seen a combined 2.62 million shares changing hands on the counter till 1417 hours on NSE and BSE.
