OnMobile Global has surged over 6% to Rs 43.40 after reporting a 16% year-on-year (yoy) growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 20.64 crore in December 2012 quarter (Q3) against Rs 17.80 crore in a year ago quarter. The company engaged in telecom services business had profit of Rs 6.22 crore in September 2012 quarter.
Consolidated total income from operations grew 4% at Rs 176 crore on y-o-y basis, OnMobile Global said in a statement.
During the quarter, the company sold its balance stake in Ver se Innovation for consideration of Rs 5.50 crore. The company also sold its investment in Kabuza Marketing Private Limited, a joint venture, for consideration of Rs 18 lakh, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 42 and hit a high of Rs 44 on NSE. A combined 1.02 million shares have changed hands on the counter in early morning deals on both the exchanges.
