Open Interest In Satyam Falls

Open interest positions continued to fall in Infosys, Satyam Computer and Digital GlobalSoft, indicating a short covering in these stocks.

However Infosys and Satyam ended the day above their Wednesday closes.

With the drop in open interest positions, the market-wide limit in Satyam Computer slipped from 80 per cent to 79 per cent. On the other hand, open interest positions increased by 160,000 shares in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPLC).

The total turnover on the futures and options segment was lower at Rs 2,141.44 crore compared with Rs 2,358.36 crore on Wednesday.
