Shares of Oriental Carbon & Chemicals have rallied by 9% to Rs 599 on the BSE after HDFC Mutual Fund and L&T Mutual Fund bought stake in the company though the open market.
On August 12, 2015 L&T Mutual Fund bought 272,387 shares, representing 2.6% stake of Oriental Carbon, at an average price of Rs 525 per share on the BSE.
HDFC Mutual Fund acquired 275,000 shares at a price of Rs 525 per share, the BSE bulk deal data shows.
Meanwhile, the promoters – Uma Goenka, Shreya Goenka, Shreyans Goenka and Aparna Goenka – had collectively sold 529,016 shares or 5.1% stake of the company through bulk deals, data shows.
The stock opened at Rs 570 and touched a high of Rs 618 on the BSE. Around 39,000 shares have changed hands on the counter till 02:42 PM.
