In thin trading, peas showed weakness with prices falling by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today due to adequate supply against subdued demand.
Traders said comfortable stocks position against subdued demand mainly led to decline in peas prices. Meanwhile, state-owned trading firm STC invited bids for the import of 31,000 tonnes of pulses for sale in domestic market.
In the national capital, peas white and green prices declined by Rs 50 each to 2,050-2,150 and Rs 2,200-2,400 per quintal, respectively.
