Peas up on local demand

Peas prices rose by Rs 25 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on local demand. In the national capital, peas green prices gained Rs 25 to Rs 2,325-2,425 per quintal.  

Traders said pick-in local demand mainly led to rise in peas green prices. 

 Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Urad 3,800-4,200, Urad chilka (local) 4,580-4,980, best 5,200-5,700, Dhoya 5,050-5,150, Moong 3,950-4,950, Dal moong chilka local 4,970-5,370, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100

Masoor small 2,550-2,750, bold 2,700-2,950, Dal Masoor local 3,200-3,300, best quality 3,400-3,700, Malka local 3,300-3,350, best 3,450-3,550, Moth 2,000-2,400, Arhar 3,100-3,600, dal arhar dara 4,650-5,050

Gram 2,875-2,900, gram dal (local) 3,300-3,400, best quality 3,500-3,600, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah chitra Pune 4,200-4,600, China 4,100-4,300, red 4,300-4,400
