Black pepper and jeera prices firmed by Rs 200 per quintal each in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists due to domestic and export demand.
Fall in supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Black pepper prices rose by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 21,300-21,400 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher at Rs 12,900-13,200 and Rs 14,000-14,500 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said increased buying by stockists on the back of pick up in domestic and export demand, mainly pushed up pepper and jeera prices on the wholesale market here.
