Black pepper prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists due to domestic and export demand.
Fall in supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Black pepper prices rose by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 21,800-21,900 per quintal.
Traders said increased buying by stockists on the back of pick up in domestic and export demand, mainly influenced pepper prices on the wholesale market here.
