Black pepper rose by Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as retailers.
Fall in supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Black pepper prices rose further by Rs 300 to settle at Rs 16,900-17,000 per quintal.
Traders said increased buying by stockists followed by pick up in demand from retailers and stockists, pushed up pepper prices on the wholesale market here.
