Black pepper and turmeric prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today following weak export as well as local demand amid adequate stocks.
Weak trends in futures trade and increased arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on the prices.
Pepper and turmeric prices declined by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 27,800-27,900 and Rs 10,000-15,000 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by local parties and stockists against adequate stocks mainly led to the fall in pepper and turmeric prices in the wholesale kirana market.
