Black pepper and turmeric prices fell upto Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today owing to weak local and export demand at existing higher prices.
Adequate stocks followed by increased arrivals from producing belts also weighed on the prices. Black pepper fell by Rs 300 to settle at Rs 22,200-22,400 per quintal on poor export demand.
They said, reports of higher acreage and sluggish domestic and overseas enquiries also put pressure on the spices.
