Black pepper and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today owing to weak local and export demand.
Adequate stocks followed by increased arrivals from the producing belts also weighed on the prices.
Black pepper fell by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 20,400-20,600 per quintal, while turmeric prices declined to Rs 15,900- 19,100 from Rs 16,000-19,200 per quintal.
Marketmen said absence of demand against sufficient stocks and increased arrivals from the producing belts kept pressure on pepper and turmeric prices.
