Petron Engineering Construction is trading higher by 6% to Rs 136, extending its Tuesday’s 20% rally, after the company said it has received Letter of award for civil contract from UltraTech Cement for a total contract value of Rs 54.70 crore.
The company has received letter of award for civil contract at Nagpur Cement Works, village Tarsa, Tehsil — Mauda, Dist. Nagpur, Maharashtra from M/s. UltraTech Cement Limited (Unit: Nagpur Cement Works) for a total contract value of Rs 54.70 crore plus service tax, Petron Engineering said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 133 and touched a 52-week high of Rs 145 on the BSE. A combined 228,237 shares changed hands on the counter so far against an average sub 100,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE.
Meanwhile, since February 24, shares of construction and engineering firm has zoomed 74% from Rs 83.30 after the company received two contracts worth of Rs 409 crore.
On February 24, the company said it has received construction contract of Rs 196 crore from JBF Petrochemicals, and on February 28, it has bagged contract worth of Rs 213 crore from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
