Shares of drug maker Pfizer are trading higher by 3.5% to Rs 2,527 on the BSE in a subdued market after the company reported a massive jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 61.64 crore for the September quarter 2015 as against a net profit of Rs 1.76 crore for the same period last year.
The rise in the profit is due to an outgo of Rs 76.03 crore under exceptional items in the year-ago quarter.
Meanwhile, the standalone total income from operations of the company quoted at Rs 512.11 crore for this quarter as compared to Rs 480.54 crore for the same period previous year.
The stock opened at Rs 2,552 amd touched a high of Rs 2,525 on the BSE. A total of 5,506 shares changed hands on the BSE so far.
