Sustained buying in blue-chip pharmaceutical and bank stocks helped the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensex settle higher for the third straight day on Thursday.
However, technology stocks eased on selling pressure, while selective buying was seen in state-owned firms on rumours of special dividends. After trading in an intra-day range of 24.72 points, the sensex ended 15.83 points higher at 3,373.52.
