Pistachio prices rose in the range of Rs 30 to Rs 50 per kg in the National Capital today on the back of fresh buying support from retailers and stockists. Tight supplies from overseas markets also supported the upside in prices.
Pistachio Irani, hairati and peshwari rose up to Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 860-920 and Rs 1,550-1,600 and Rs 1,700-1,750 per kg respectively.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from overseas markets mainly pushed up pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.
