Pistachio prices rose up to Rs 50 per kg in the national capital today, largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists for the festive and marriage season.
Tight supplies from overseas markets also supported the uptrend.
Pistachio, Irani, hairati and peshwari rose up to Rs 50 to settle at Rs 800-850, Rs 1,050-1,200 and Rs 1,250-1,400 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.
