Pistachio prices rose up to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists.
Tight supplies from overseas markets also supported the upside in prices. Pistachio hairati and peshwari rose up to Rs 10 to settle at Rs 1,110-1,210 and Rs 1,305-1,380 per kg respectively.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from overseas markets mainly pushed up pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruit market here.
