Platinum is glittering on shelves of most jewellry stores this season with more and more branded players coming out with platinum collections. Available in very pure form, its acceptance as a metal for jewellery is growing despite being one of the most expensive materials. Platinum jewellery had been prevalent in India in the 1930s and 1940s.
