Potato futures for April dipped by Rs 26.90, or 3.23%, to Rs 804.90 per quintal in 180 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March contract also plunged by Rs 26.40, or 3.15%, to Rs 810.90 per quintal in 401 lots.
Increased supplies from producing regions amid reduced offtake had a negative impact on potato futures.
Speculators offloading their positions also affected the trade.
