Potato futures prices fell by 0.72% to to Rs 909.10 per quintal today as participants trimmed positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for March contracts fell by Rs 6.60, or 0.72%, to Rs 909.10 per quintal, with a business volume of 37 lots.
The potato for delivery in April declined by Rs 6.20, or 0.70%, to Rs 881.20 per quintal in 4 lots.
Traders said off-loading of positions by speculators driven by subdued demand in the spot market mainly weighed on potato futures here.
