Potato down 0.9% on low demand

Market experts attributed the fall in potato prices at futures trade to low demand in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions

Potato prices fell by 0.90% to Rs 1,023.30 per quintal in futures market today as speculators offloaded their positions due to low demand in spot markets against higher supplies from producing belts.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato prices for March fell by Rs 9.30, or 0.90%, to Rs 1023.30 per quintal in business turnover of 411 lots.

Market experts attributed the fall in potato prices at futures trade to low demand in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions.
