Potato futures prices fell by Rs 3.40 to Rs 599.30 per quintal today on increased arrivals in the spot market against subdued demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, potato for April contract fell by Rs 3.40, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 599.30 per quintal, with a business turnover of just one lot.
Similarly, the potato for delivery in May lost Rs 2.90, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 625 per quintal, clocking a trade volume of just one lot.
Traders said adequate stocks positions of speculators, following increased arrivals from producing regions amid subdued demand, pulled down potato futures prices.
